Start an edit

Drop the footage, your logo and a sentence about what you want.

Start from a brief

Describe the edit in plain English or Vietnamese; Khiêm shows what it understood before you start.

  1. 1On the home screen, drop the video to edit, your logo (an App Store screenshot works) and, if you have them, your outro or music.
  2. 2Write the brief. The tags under the box show what Khiêm will do; check them.
  3. 3Pick the sizes with the 1:1, 9:16, 16:9 and 4:5 chips (sizes in the brief are picked automatically).
  4. 4Click Start editing, or press ⌘↵.
  5. Short recipe buttons under the box fill in common briefs: rebrand, resize, 15s cut, outro swap, watermark.
  6. Without an AI key Khiêm understands the common requests; add a Claude key for anything free-form.

Footage, logo, outro and music

Every file has a role (Footage, Our logo, App icon, Our outro, Music, Voiceover, Image) that tells Khiêm how to use it.

  1. 1Drop files on the home screen or in the editor’s Media tab.
  2. 2Check the role under each file and change it from the dropdown if Khiêm guessed wrong.
  3. 3Use + to put a file on the timeline yourself.
  4. A video named with “outro” or “end card” is treated as your outro.
  5. Footage added after the first cut is watched the next time you ask for a change.

Khiêm’s first cut

What Khiêm does on its own before you see the edit.

Khiêm watches the footage

Splits the video into shots and finds watermarks, the end card, the competitor’s logo, on-screen text and fine print.

  1. 1Happens automatically when you start an edit; each finding appears as a step in the chat.
  2. 2In the preview, Khiêm’s marks outline what it found, with quick Remove and Swap buttons.
  3. Gemini is optional. With it, Khiêm also flags a competitor’s name spoken in the voiceover.

Cost
Free on your computer; with Gemini also describes shots and reads the voiceover (about a cent per ad)

Remove watermarks and logos

Semi-transparent watermarks are reversed to recover the real footage; static end-card areas are rebuilt from their surroundings.

  1. 1Khiêm removes the marks it found in the first cut.
  2. 2To remove something else, press R (or Remove area) and drag a box over it in the preview.
  3. 3Select a removal on the timeline to change its time range or method in the right panel.
  4. Methods in the right panel: Unblend (see-through watermarks), Rebuild (static backgrounds like end cards), Fill (moving footage), Blur, Color.

Put your brand on the end card

Replaces the competitor’s end-card logo with your icon, app name and tagline, matched to their position, size and ink color.

  1. 1Upload your logo or an App Store screenshot; Khiêm crops the icon and reads the name and tagline.
  2. 2Adjust them in the Brand tab; the lockup on the timeline updates.
  3. 3Select the lockup in the preview to move or resize it.

Catch the competitor in the fine print

When the end-card fine print names another company, Khiêm asks whether to remove the name, erase the line or keep it.

  1. 1Answer Khiêm’s question in the chat with one of the buttons.
  2. 2“Rewrite without their name” keeps the AI-disclosure wording, which ad platforms may require.

Build a spot from footage

New

Give Khiêm several pieces of footage and a brief with a timing table or footage roles; it shows its plan (beats, lengths, cuts and sizes), then builds the main cut, titles, end card and shorter cuts.

  1. 1Drop all the footage in order and write the brief: what each footage is for (“Footage 1 (Hook + Beauty shot)”), a timing table (“0–3s Hook: …”), the titles and the deliverables (“Ratio 21:9 : 1 vid 20s, 3 vids 7s”).
  2. 2Khiêm maps footage to beats, trims each shot to its best stretch, cuts the action as a quick montage and paces the rest.
  3. 3The plan card in the chat shows the beats with their seconds and footage, the files to deliver and the look. Ask for changes like any edit.
  4. Khiêm fixes obvious typos in titles (“imagation” → “imagination”) and says so.
  5. With Gemini or Claude, Khiêm also sees faces and subjects and keeps titles beside them, not over them.
  6. If the brief doesn’t say which sizes, Khiêm asks once.

End card on every cut

New

The app icon pops in with a soft glow and the name glitches on while the last shot pulls back, built once and reused by every cut; a designed end card from the motion library replaces it when there is one.

  1. 1Khiêm adds it when the brief asks for an outro with the logo and name.
  2. 2Brand tab → End card: rebuild it, pick a designed end card, or remove it.
  3. 3No designed end card yet? “Ask a motion designer” files a brief with the sizes and safe area in Library → Motion.

Khiêm checks its own cut

New

Before you see a cut, Khiêm checks read time, faces, every size’s frame, contrast, flash frames, lengths, spelling, brand type and the end card in every cut, and fixes what’s clear.

  1. 1Open “Checked … things” under Khiêm’s reply to see what was checked, fixed and left for you; click an item to select it.
  2. 2With a Claude or Gemini key, Khiêm also renders key frames of the first cut and has the AI review them against the skills’ rubrics.

Review and adjust

Change anything by hand or by asking. Your changes are always kept.

Ask Khiêm for changes

Type a change in the chat; Khiêm edits only what you asked and keeps your manual edits.

  1. 1Type in the chat box at the bottom of the Khiêm tab, or click one of the suggestions above it.
  2. 2Each reply lists the changes; click one to select it on the timeline.
  3. Without a Claude key, Khiêm understands the common edits shown in the suggestions.
  4. Ask “how do I crop for 9:16?” and Khiêm points you to the right control.

Several cuts of one edit

New

One edit can hold several cuts (a 20s and three 7s, say) that share removals, sizes and the end card; switch between them above the timeline.

  1. 1Click a cut above the timeline to edit it; double-click to rename.
  2. 2Copy a cut with the copy button to make another length, then trim it.
  3. 3With nothing selected, the right panel lists which cuts each size delivers.
  4. 4Export renders every cut in every size it delivers, named with the cut.

Titles that move

New

Titles mix a light and a bold weight, carry a soft shadow and enter by typing behind a ▶ cursor, rising word by word, popping or glitching; the export draws them exactly as the preview does.

  1. 1Select a title. Style sets the look (Statement is light + bold); wrap a word in *stars* to make it bold.
  2. 2Animation → In and Out pick how it enters and leaves, and how long it takes.
  3. 3Line height, letter spacing and Soft shadow are under the text.

Transitions and camera moves

New

Dissolve, dip to black, flash, zoom, defocus, slide and glitch between shots, or a designer’s transition from the motion library; and slow push-ins, pull-backs and drifts on a shot.

  1. 1Select a clip. Transition in picks how the cut into it looks and how long it takes; it borrows a little footage on each side, so the edit keeps its length.
  2. 2Camera move adds a push-in, pull-back or drift over the clip, with its strength and easing.
Say to Khiêm

Enhance soft or low-resolution footage

New

ByteDance’s upscaler sharpens and upscales the footage after the removals, so logos and text stay crisp on top.

  1. 1With nothing selected, open Footage quality in the right panel.
  2. 2Pick a preset (User video, Short drama, AI video…) and Standard or Pro; the estimate shows cost and time.
  3. 3Click Enhance footage and keep editing; the preview switches over when it’s ready. Hold Compare to see the original.
  4. If you change a removal afterwards, Khiêm uses the original again and offers to re-run.

Reuse an edit

Motion library

New

Logo reveals, end cards and transitions your designers made, kept once and reused in every edit; each file is checked for quality and duplicates, and replacing one keeps its versions.

  1. 1Library → Motion → Add motion: choose the file, its kind and brand.
  2. 2Khiêm scores it (size, frame rate, transparency, length, compression) and lists what to send back to the designer.
  3. 3A file that looks like one already in the library asks you to replace it as a new version, keep both, or drop it.
  4. 4In an edit, Media → Motion adds one; Khiêm uses a brand’s designed end card on its own.
  5. Deliver ProRes 4444 .mov or WebM with transparency, 1080p or larger.
  6. Retire an outdated asset to hide it from new edits; edits that use it keep their copy and are offered the newer version.
Where
Library → Motion; Media → Motion in the editor

Skills

New

Know-how Khiêm follows: the job (workflow), techniques (craft), delivery formats and brands. The chat shows which ones it used; Library → Skills lists them all.

  1. 1Click “used …” under a reply to switch a skill off for this edit.
  2. 2Library → Skills: read a skill’s instructions and presets, switch it off for everyone, or export it as a .zip.
  3. 3Import a .zip: Khiêm reviews it for unsafe scripts and prompt injection and keeps it off until someone approves the review.
  4. Skills live in the repo’s skills/ folder and are shared through git; each is a standard Agent Skill (SKILL.md) with Khiêm’s presets beside it.
  5. Skill scripts run in a sandbox: no network, no other files, no keys, a few seconds at most.
